Thank you for reposing your faith in me during my tenure 2017-2023 when I served as AIOS, Honorary General Secretary.  It truly was an enriching experience. AIOS has risen to great heights in science and academics. My heartfelt gratitude for electing me as Chairperson Scientific Committee unopposed. I am completely overwhelmed. My endeavors as Chairman Scientific Committee will be:

1. To make a robust scientific program which educates one and all including the delegates.
2. To reduce the number of Scientific halls
3. To increase the presence of women ophthalmologists and young ophthalmologists on the podium.
4. To recognize talents of unsung heroes especially from non – metro cities.

Any positive feedback will be welcome. I look forward to working with my scientific committee members for the upliftment of academics and science in ophthalmology for each and every member.

The work for Mid Term Conference at Vishakhapatnam (13^th – 15^th October, 2013) and Annual meeting at Kolkata next year is in full swing, the details for which will be available soon.
